Best Indian stock MCP servers, compared

Disclosure: DalalOS publishes this page and is one of the nine servers on it, so weigh our view with that in mind. For each rival we list where it beats ours. We took vendor facts from their public pages on 27 October 2026 (Zerodha, Groww and Dhan) and 29 October 2026 (the rest); check the vendor before you rely on them.

We compare nine MCP servers here: Zerodha Kite, Groww, Dhan, Trendlyne, MarketPing, NSE’s own servers, two open-source projects and DalalOS. Zerodha, Groww and Dhan connect to your own broker account. DalalOS is an independent research server for company data. A last row covers Screener.in, which runs no MCP server.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • To work with your own account, use your broker’s MCP: Zerodha Kite, Groww or Dhan. Groww and Dhan can place orders; Zerodha’s hosted server can’t.
  • For exchange prices and history with no sign-in, use NSE’s own servers or an open-source server. Trendlyne and MarketPing add research data: Trendlyne needs a paid MCP subscription, and MarketPing is free up to 200 calls a day.
  • To read what a company filed (order books, results, disclosed events) with a source and date on each figure, use DalalOS. It gives no scores or verdicts.
  • You can connect more than one, since each covers a different job.

The DalalOS difference

DalalOS covers a narrower job than a market-wide platform. It sets what a company filed beside the numbers and dates every figure.

  • Filing facts. get_filing_extract pulls facts and a summary out of one BSE filing PDF. A request may queue processing and use part of a small daily allowance.
  • Order books and operating KPIs. get_company_operating_metrics returns the order book, order inflow and capacity a company disclosed over time. It marks missing fields as “not disclosed” and won’t guess a current order book from a single new order.
  • Past filings and event context. search_company_disclosures searches a company’s earlier filings, and get_event_context shows the position before an order or capacity event. Both return the source page and quote.
  • Results and disclosures. get_upcoming_results lists companies about to report. get_brsr returns BRSR sustainability disclosures as companies filed them with SEBI.
  • Raw figures, no verdicts. DalalOS computes ratios with fixed formulas and gives no scores, buy/sell calls or target prices. get_data_freshness tells you how recent each data set is.

DalalOS next to the research and data servers

  • MarketPing. It also reads NSE and BSE filings. It adds price reactions and indexed filing pages. DalalOS returns the facts a filing states with the source page and quote, and adds no scores.
  • Trendlyne. It sells a data subscription with 3,500+ parameters and technicals. DalalOS centres on filing-extracted facts and publishes no parameter total. Our Trendlyne comparison goes further.
  • NSE and the open-source servers. They return exchange prices and market data. Indian Market MCP and NSE-MCP list Yahoo Finance among their sources. DalalOS takes its data from exchange and regulator sources; see data sources and freshness.

The others’ strengths

  • Breadth. NSE’s servers and the open-source servers cover market data, and Indian Market MCP also covers F&O, funds, ETFs and commodities, all at no cost. We don’t claim a stock count for DalalOS. Test it on the companies you follow before you rely on it.
  • Your own account. The broker MCPs read your real holdings, positions and margins, and Groww, Dhan and a self-hosted Kite can place orders. DalalOS has no broker link.
  • Freshness. DalalOS prices are end-of-day. NSE’s Market Live server serves quotes delayed 1 to 5 minutes, and Trendlyne lists live prices on its Enterprise plan. Broker servers may offer live data; their documentation says what they cover.
  • Access. MarketPing and the open-source servers need no sign-in. DalalOS asks you to sign in.
  • Data volume. Trendlyne lists 3,500+ parameters, technicals and earnings calls. MarketPing lists 2.2 million+ indexed filing pages and price reactions over 14 time horizons.

Picking an Indian stock MCP

  • You trade on Zerodha: start with Zerodha’s hosted Kite MCP, which can read but not trade. Self-host it if you want trading.
  • You use Groww, or want to trade from chat: Groww’s MCP. You’ll need DDPI authorisation to sell.
  • You trade on Dhan: Dhan’s MCP, which asks you to confirm each order.
  • You want exchange prices and history with no sign-in: NSE’s own servers, or an open-source server such as Indian Market MCP. Read NSE’s usage terms first.
  • You want a large parameter set and technicals: Trendlyne’s MCP, on a paid subscription.
  • You want announcements with price reactions and no sign-up: MarketPing.
  • You want a website with screens and CSV export: Screener.in, which has no MCP server.
  • You want what a company filed, with sources: DalalOS. Connect it in a few minutes, through the ChatGPT plugin or Claude.

How we checked

On 27 October 2026 we read Zerodha Kite MCP and its GitHub repo, Groww MCP and Dhan’s MCP documentation (our Dhan comparison covers it too). We took the DalalOS count from the live server’s tool list the same day: 61 entries, of which 59 are current tools, plus a connection check and one deprecated alias. If a vendor publishes no number, such as a tool total, we say so instead of estimating.

On 29 October 2026 we read MarketPing’s MCP page, Trendlyne’s MCP plans and its help article on MCP access, the READMEs of afthabvp/indian-market-mcp and icharshal/NSE-MCP, and Screener’s support page on exports. Other projects use names close to Indian Market MCP and NSE-MCP, so check the owner name before you install one.

NSE’s own page, nseindia.com/nse-mcp, did not load for us on 29 October 2026. The NSE row therefore comes from a MarketCalls tutorial and the nse-mcp-explorer repo, which quotes NSE’s terms. Treat those facts as reported, and check NSE’s page.

FAQ

Common questions

Which MCP server should I use for Indian stocks?
Pick by job. Use your broker’s MCP for your own Zerodha, Groww or Dhan account. Use NSE’s servers or an open-source server for exchange prices with no sign-in. Use Trendlyne or MarketPing for research data, and DalalOS for sourced company facts from filings, such as order books, results and disclosed events. Many people connect more than one.
Which Indian stock MCP servers are free?
NSE’s two MCP servers are free. MarketPing is free up to 200 tool calls a day. Indian Market MCP and NSE-MCP are free open-source projects. DalalOS has a free tier with a monthly credit allowance and no card; its paid plans are Plus (₹199/month) and Pro (₹399/month). Trendlyne’s MCP is a paid subscription from ₹299 a month. The broker MCPs need an account with that broker.
Which Indian stock MCP servers need no sign-in?
According to their own pages and third-party tests, NSE’s servers, MarketPing, Indian Market MCP and NSE-MCP need no login or API key. DalalOS asks you to sign in with OAuth or an API key. Trendlyne needs a separate MCP subscription, and the broker MCPs need a broker account.
Which Indian stock MCP servers need a broker account?
Zerodha’s Kite MCP, Groww’s MCP and Dhan’s MCP connect to your account with that broker. Indian Market MCP has an optional broker mode that uses your Angel One or Zerodha credentials. DalalOS is an independent research service and needs no brokerage account.
Which Indian stock MCP servers can place trades?
Groww’s and Dhan’s MCPs can place orders on your account. Zerodha’s Kite MCP can place them when you self-host it with your own Kite Connect credentials; Zerodha’s hosted endpoint is read-only. Indian Market MCP adds 11 tools in its optional broker mode, and its README says what they do. DalalOS places no orders. Its account writes add or remove symbols on your DalalOS watchlist.
Does NSE have an official MCP server?
Yes. NSE runs two public MCP servers at mcp.nseindia.in, one for end-of-day Bhavcopy history and one for quotes delayed by a few minutes. Third-party tests report no login or API key. Those write-ups also quote NSE’s terms as informational and educational use only, with no commercial use or AI training, so read NSE’s terms before you rely on the data.
Does Screener.in have an MCP server?
Screener.in does not run an official MCP server. Its support page says Screener does not provide APIs and points to CSV export, which is on the premium plan. Unofficial community MCP servers exist, and Screener does not run them. See our Screener.in comparison for the rest.
How is DalalOS different from MarketPing?
Both read NSE and BSE filings. MarketPing adds price reactions over 14 time horizons, 108 fundamental metrics and a free tier with no sign-up. DalalOS returns the facts a filing states with the source page and quote, gives no scores or verdicts, and asks you to sign in. Try both on a company you follow.
How is DalalOS different from a broker MCP?
A broker MCP works on your own account: holdings, positions and, for some, orders. DalalOS has no broker link and places no orders. It returns facts extracted from exchange filings, such as disclosed order books, results and events, each with its source and date, plus ratios from fixed formulas. It gives no scores, buy/sell calls or target prices.
Is DalalOS affiliated with the other services?
DalalOS publishes this page, so it is not a neutral party. It is independent of the other services named here and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them. We took vendor facts from their public pages on 27 and 29 October 2026, and they can change.
Do any of these give investment advice?
DalalOS does not. It returns sourced facts and formula-based ratios. Other services make their own product choices, so read their documentation. Nothing on this page is investment advice.
