EV/EBITDA below 8 with earnings yield above 8%
Enterprise value under 8× EBITDA and an earnings yield over 8%, market cap above ₹1,000 crore.
Enterprise value adds a company's debt to its market cap and subtracts cash, so EV/EBITDA compares the whole business with its operating earnings before depreciation. This screen keeps companies below 8 times and, separately, requires an earnings yield above 8%, which restates operating earnings as a share of enterprise value.
The two figures use the same enterprise value but different earnings (EBITDA against EBIT), so a company with heavy depreciation can meet one condition more easily than the other.

Screen criteria
A company appears only when it meets every condition below. The figures are raw disclosed numbers or mechanically computed ratios; the definitions follow the ratio reference.
| Condition | Threshold | How it is measured |
|---|---|---|
| Enterprise value to EBITDA | below 8 | Enterprise value divided by TTM EBITDA; non-positive EBITDA is excluded. |
| Earnings yield | above 8% | TTM EBIT divided by enterprise value. |
| Market capitalisation | above ₹1,000 crore | Latest close multiplied by shares outstanding. Keeps the list to companies of a minimum size. |
How to read this table
- EV/EBITDA and earnings yield are added as columns, so you can see how far each company sits from the thresholds.
- Ordering is by EV/EBITDA ascending. Companies with non-positive EBITDA are suppressed rather than shown with a misleading multiple.
- Enterprise value subtracts cash and adds debt, so it is not directly comparable for lenders, where debt is a raw material.
